10:00-11:00 Shifen Waterfall
Dubbed as Taiwan’s Little Niagara due to its smaller size but equally imposing qualities as is with its western counterpart. Watch as water forces its way down the basin forming a mist surrounding the area. A gorgeous sight you should not miss!
11:10-12:00 Shifen Old Street
Proceed to Shifen Old Street in Pingxi District where you can give lantern-making a try. Sky lanterns are known to grant hopes and wishes so don’t forget to write yours down on your lantern before releasing it!
13:00-16:00 Shifen Old Street
Explore the quaint mountainside village of Jiufen, which is believed to have been the inspiration for the Ghibli movie ‘Spirited Away’. Snap Instagram-worthy photos, take in the retro style of the area and let your eyes feast on red lanterns that decorate the village.
